I love garlic. I add it to everything from breakfast scrambles to salads (garlic infused olive oil and lemon pepper make the perfect dressing) to popcorn. It is off the charts for its anti-inflammatory value, its antibacterial and antifungal properties support healthy intestinal flora and garlic boosts circulation. Research also indicates it can have a positive impact on your arteries and blood pressure.
Garlic contains Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, selenium, copper and zinc which are fabulous for your face. This tasty plant also has antiseptic properties from allicin, which helps to kill the bacteria causing acne and has also been shown to have potential effects on psoriasis and wound healing.
Freshly chopped or deliciously roasted, you probably need more of this in your life, and if you share, no one will mind the smell. Gather a few friends, eat well and take care of you, yeah?
