On Wednesdays We Talk About Our Skin - Exfoliate

Between the cold air outside and dry indoor heating, your skin cells dehydrate and die out faster in winter. If you're not exfoliating, you're leaving more of these dead skin cells on your face longer. As dead skin cells reduce the amount of absorption you get from your skincare products, moisturizing alone won't be effective without exfoliating since it can't fully penetrate your skin to hydrate it.
My favorite exfoliating duo is raw honey and Moondrop Herbals Cleansing Grains. Raw honey has antibacterial and antiseptic properties, is full of antioxidants, boosts collagen production, sloughs off those dead skin cells, hydrates, and helps hold moisture in the skin. Use it on a soft washcloth w/warm water a few times a week - I recommend using it in the shower as it is messy. If you want a little boost, mix your raw honey with the Moondrop Herbals Cleansing Grains once a week. Organic oats, lavender flowers and rose petals are gentle heavyweights for softer, smoother skin.
If you feel like chatting about your skin in person, please contact me and let me share personalized wintertime skin care tips with you. Be safe and warm, eat your veggies, stay hydrated and take care of you, yeah?
